We live at the END of the road in a small fishing town in Alaska – an unusual place to live and an even more unusual place to build a thriving cycling jersey business. Homer is nestled next to the Pacific Ocean and the Harding Ice Field. Thick glacier fingers flow into blue sparking ocean, eagles as numerous as sparrows hunt and fight above our heads, otters play in the surf, and bears walk thru our garden when we go in for tea. When we ride or walk to work we might have to dodge a running moose or put a sign on the door that says GONE FISHING when tide is high and there’s room on someone’s boat. Every day nature brings us new experiences and reminds us to remember that somehow the tide goes out and the tide comes in – all on it’s own – and no matter how hard we work or try to figure things out – we have no idea why.
